Mohali December 22Three Covid-19 deaths and 49 new cases were reported from the district here today.
As many as 90 more patients recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours.
Among the new cases 44 were reported from Mohali (urban).

Cases related to criminal compoundable offences NI Act bank recovery cases MACT cases matrimonial disputes labour dispute land acquisition electricity and water bills (excluding non-compoundable theft cases) service matters related to pay and allowances and retirement benefits revenue and other civil issues were taken up.
District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority (DSLA) RS Rai accompanied by Shikha Goel Secretary DSLA took stock of the activities of all Benches at the district headquarters in Mohali.
Rai said the judgments by the Lok Adalat were final and binding upon the parties.
For the successful organisation of the e-National Lok Adalat Rai had called various meetings of judicial officers presidents and secretaries of bar associations officials of other departments such as banking electricity and labour.

Tribune News ServiceMohali December 14A gunman of a senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader reportedly committed suicide today at his home in Purab Premium Apartments in Sector 88.
The victim has been identified as Nareshpal (33) a native of Hoshiarpur district.
The police said Nareshpal was married but staying alone here.
We have called the parents of the victim and will initiate the proceedings after recording their statement.
The victim was in Three Commando Batallion and posted as a gunman of a SAD leader staying in Sector 69. - 2 killed 10 injured in road mishap in Mohali | Chandigarh NYOOOZ
Tribune News ServiceMohali December 14Two persons were killed and 10 injured after a pickup vehicle they were travelling on reportedly collided with a gravel-laden truck near Bhago Majra village.
The incident took place around 10 pm when the victims were coming back after taking part in the farmers' protest at the Delhi border.
The deceased have been identified as Sukhdev Singh (63) a resident of Dhadlian village in Fathehgarh Sahib and Deep Singh (80) of Popilian village in Mohali.
The injured were taken to the Civil Hospital where the two of them were declared brought dead and the rest are being treated.
Harvinder Singh Virk SP (City) said: “A case will be registered against the truck driver.”

- In Mohali Rs 1K fine for not wearing a mask | Chandigarh NYOOOZ
Mohali December 1The district administration today ordered the imposition of the night curfew in the district today onward.
District Magistrate Girish Dayalan said the night curfew would be imposed from 10 pm to 5 am in the district.
He said the authorities should also ensure wearing of a mask by residents not spitting and frequent use of hand wash/sanitiser by all in public places.
The DM further informed that the penalty for not wearing a mask and spitting in public places has been enhanced from Rs500 to Rs1000 for each violation.
Any violations shall invite criminal proceedings under the relevant provisions of the Disaster Management Act 2005 and the IPC. - Ex councillor 2 others injured
Mohali December 1The police have arrested one person and booked several others on the attempt-to-murder charge for allegedly attacking three persons including a former Mohali councillor at Sohana last night.
The suspects have been identified as Jagtar Singh Avtar Singh Gurmeet Singh Harpreet Singh all residents of Sukhgarh village.
Around 10 unidentified persons have also been booked.
Victim Jarnail Singh told the police that he his brother Sahib Singh and former councillor Surinder Singh Rajput were cleaning his shop when the suspects came and beat them up.
