At present the Revenue Department does not have the record of properties of villagers. Under the new scheme the villagers will be able to avail of various benefits of common lands within the “lal lakir” such as ponds common gathering areas and even passages and streets. He said a survey would be conducted using drones to prepare the record of properties within the “lal dora”. The suspects have been identified as Avtar Singh Udham Singh Baljinder Singh Tarlochan Singh Satinder Singh and Sarbjeet Singh all residents of Mauli Baidwan village. Sohana SHO Bhagwant Singh said: “The suspects were rounded up and later arrested. The police are investigating the matter.”

Mohali February 9The district administration will make available 56 new citizen-centric services at 15 sewa kendras in Mohali district. Divulging details Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan said these sewa kendras were being used as a common front end for various departments and 271 citizen-centric services were being delivered through sewa kendras at present. He said daily footfall in 15 sewa kendras of the district ranged between 1300 and 1500. As many as 1.12 lakh services had been delivered in a period of 24 months through 69 counters at these sewa kendras. Girish Dayalan said the additional 56 services launched today were related to departments such as transport police and revenue.
