Tribune News ServiceMohali January 31A total of 54845 children were immunised on Day 1 of the three-day National Immunisation Day (NID) commonly known as pulse polio vaccination drive in Mohali district today.
- Dr Veena Jarewal District Immunisation OfficerStating this Civil Surgeon Dr Adarshpal Kaur said the target was to administer drops to 153835 children in the age group of 0-5 years across the district.
District Immunisation Officer Dr Veena Jarewal launched the vaccination drive by administering polio drops to children at a colony in Phase 6 here.
Dr Veena said as many as 548 regular booths were set up across the district on the first day.
To ensure that all children are immunised 128 supervisors will carry out checks at various places” said Dr Veena.
