Mohali: The district reported 37 new cases of Covid on Wednesday.
Among the new cases 26 were reported from Mohali (urban) three each from Dera Bassi Dhakoli and Kharar and one each from Banur and Lalru.
TNS18 fresh cases in PanchkulaPanchkula: The district reported 18 fresh coronavirus cases on Wednesday taking the tally to 10401.
While 10061 patients have recovered from the infectious disease so far 193 cases are still active.

Mohali January 31In a special campaign against alleged fraud and corruption by unauthorised immigration consultants the Mohali police have arrested Kurali resident Tarun Kumar who had taken Rs20 lakh from the owners of Expert Visa Master Immigration Company Phase 9 and Sankasam Enterprises Immigration Company Phase 11 in the name of senior police officers for the cancellation of an FIR registered against them for cheating on October 29 2020.
After an investigation the police arrested the suspect on January 30 and Rs13.5 lakh was recovered from him.
He was produced in a court and remanded in police custody for two days.
